FAMILY HISTORYis the Journal of The Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies.
I have edited it since it was first published in 1962.It is now a quarterly journal. It is packed with serious scholarship, transcriptions and editions of original family histories, genealogical and heraldic documents and articles, guides to research, reviews, illustrations
and facsimiles of documents.
Previous issues have included such articles
as "Irish Wills in the PCC"; several
armorials; "Sources for Kent", "Psychology
of Genealogy"; "Gretna Green Marriage Records"
and copies of several individual family histories
including those that won prizes at the
pedigree from an original Herald's Visitation manuscript illustrating the exclusion from the records of dissenters and recusants in the seventeenth century.
A one year subscription (4 issues) to
the journal is available at a fee of £15.00.
A three year (12 issues) subscription costs £40.00.
